- I might have the opportunity to go to Slovenia and bring Multnomah students to run an English camp
- I might get to go to Columbia this summer to work with young girls who've been prostitutes.
- I met John Perkins, a man who began to shape my thinking of justice and community development nearly 10 years ago. We got to talk for a bit and I may be traveling to Mississippi sometime to work with him!
- I got to go to a conference in Portland about justice and get stoked that there are like-minded and like-hearted people in my backyard...a city that i think will be very influential in the christian community in the years to come.
- I got some news from work this week that make we wonder why, where, who and when and makes me thankful, angry, sad and expectant.
- I keep accepting that I want something badly, but that I might not really even want what i want if what i really want is what He wants...so i just don't know.
- I get to be on the intercession team for a NPO that a man from church started to work to bring an end to human trafficking and i'm stoked that this is the way i can be involved right now...and curious if there will be another way in the future.
- There is a glimmer of hope that my leadership students at Madison High School will choose to be leaders even if it won't come easy.

blink
Sometimes you just blink and things can change. Sometimes it comes slowly (you know, like the good things to those who wait). Sometimes i just get glimpses in between the blinks...of possibilities that may or may not ever come to fruition. In any case, I think my life right now is a little bit of a blink and a little bit blind... and i feel all sorts of craziness in those dark and light moments:

so glad other people walk around blinking all the time, too. Sometimes I feel like the options are coming so fast... speeding past. And yet, if I stand still for even one second, 10 years will pass without my noticing.
Your e-mail makes me curious, excited, thankful, expectant, and is a good reminder to be prayerful for you now.
You may find a few good coffee dates in Ms. Ro Potter... if you can track her down these days! I think you two would enjoy conversation and spur one another on.
And, for what it's worth... this comes to mind-- rough paraphrase:
love is born in silence (Mother T)
