so i know that i've been horrible about blogging, so i thought i would do a little update! I leave to New Orleans in about 3 weeks, but i've barely even thought about it! I've been busy with school (i'm graduating in June), with work (the executive council election for next years' team is Thursday), and getting involved with church even more. I've joined the Task Force at the Well (my home church) for human trafficking. We are partnering with a ministry called LOVE146 and have adopted a home for girls in the Philippines. I'd love to get a group to go from my church this summer, but we'll see if it can work! I absolutely love my cell group and have found a home with this amazing group of people. I'll get a picture of them up soon! We are an intercession group and I have never in my life found a group like this of such diverse people with whom i resonate so deeply in prayer. It is beyond words!! I also am now an usher/greeter and had my training session a week ago! It went great and I'm excited to be a friendly face to welcome people into the Church on Sunday mornings! This past weekend I had a much needed vacation with a bunch of friends. We went and shared a condo together in central oregon and had a blast. It was so sweet to laugh, talk, cook, eat, and play together. I hadn't gotten to do something like that in SOOOO long and it was a much needed refreshment to my soul!! The picture is from our trip back home on a bridge over a 300 foot gorge. BEAUTIFUL!!!

That's my home!!! I totally recognize the bridge, it's the old one over Crooked River. I totally remember the first time I drove over the new one, and the one you are standing on became just a footpath. Oh, how I wish I could have been there with you. I bet you stayed at Eagle Crest, didn't you? I have soooo many memories from that place, it would have been fun to add another one with you. But I must say, I am a little offended that Redmond turned into Bend - come on, show that quaint little hick town some respect :) even if no one in the world would have any idea where it is (hee, hee). I love you friend and am glad that my shangri-la served you well. Deidre
